The original Isle of Wight Festival of the late 60’s provided the template for what has become a British Summer institution – the outdoor rock festival. The festival was brought back to life in 2002 and since then has become famous for repeatedly pulling off the line-up of the summer, with previous headliners including The Rolling Stones, Coldplay, David Bowie and The Police.
Legendary heritage and lineups aside, the scenic location is something that rivals many of the other festivals, set just outside the town of Newport on the picturesque Isle of Wight coast.
The 2013 line up is set to include headliners The Stone Roses, The Killers and Bon Jovi, with quality support from the likes of Emile Sande, Jake Bugg, Bloc Party, Palma Violets, Ellie Goulding, Blondie, Happy Mondays and The Maccabees, with more to be announced over the coming weeks.
